Relationship Status — Glass Half Full Finesse

When discussing the relationship with yourself, we are referring to a concept that is intricate and multifaceted, encompassing various aspects.

One of the key components of having a compassionate and courageous relationship with yourself is recognizing the different parts of yourself that come into play in your daily life.

For instance, you have the self in your mind, your mind's eye — this is the part of you that thinks, reasons, and processes information. It is responsible for your thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes. However, there is also the self in your body, which has its own unique experience of the world. This self is responsible for your physical sensations, emotions, and bodily reactions to different situations.

Emotional sensitivity is often associated with problematic disconnections or decreased productivity, but in reality, it is our most observant and conscious state. Society often prioritizes overproduction over gentleness, and the rational mind assumes that continuing with "business as usual" will yield the same results. Although this approach may achieve certain goals, the end result may not always align with our true intentions. Playing the long game without staying true to ourselves can lead to feelings of inadequacy and disconnection, which can have a negative impact on our relationship with ourselves and the world around us.

To examine the relationship with oneself, it is important to recognize both aspects of oneself and to learn how to integrate them into a cohesive whole. This requires attentiveness to both the mind and body, and respect for the needs of both. Developing a deeper understanding of who we are broadens our capacity. When our capacity is expanded, we can explore the beliefs and identities that hinder us from achieving some of the grand ideas we may aspire to in life.

Using a woman-centered approach, we can begin to observe the connection between our mind and body and identify any old patterns or inner barriers that may be holding us back. When we are in tune with both aspects of ourselves, we can make decisions that align with our intuition and take action towards our wants and needs. This renewed energy can bring us a sense of clarity and purpose, which leads to growth, development, and true creative vitality. Exploring this connection and strengthening the relationship between the mind and body can offer us a deeply connected source of energy that we may not have known was possible.

There are several ways to improve our relationship with ourselves. One is by practicing mindfulness, which involves being fully present in the moment and engaged with our thoughts and feelings. By doing so, we can gain a better understanding of ourselves and make better decisions in the future.

Another way to improve our relationship with ourselves is by practicing self-care. This means taking care of our physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Examples of self-care include exercising, eating a healthy diet, getting enough sleep, and engaging in activities that bring us joy and fulfillment.

The relationship we have with ourselves is the most important one we will ever have during our human experience.

Prioritizing ourselves directly impacts our collective worldview and shapes how we see and experience the world. By improving the connection between our mind and body, practicing mindfulness, and engaging in self-care, we can strengthen our relationship with ourselves. When this relationship is in balance, it leads to a shift in mindset that fosters positive creativity and brings life to it.
